This morning we enjoyed a sunny stroll through one of our favorite towns, Encinitas, and ended up in a lovely little garden we hadn't seen before. The Center for Self Realization is this large complex at the south end of downtown that is a meeting ground for meditation and spiritual living. One component of the complex is a garden that is open to the public. I had heard of it but, for whatever reason, we had never ventured inside until today. The kids loved all the narrow paths, stairs and hidden benches. They loved the koi ponds, waterfalls and views of the ocean. The garden is filled with plants of every color and variety. Very pretty!

Our evening was spent at a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Last year we attended the same fundraiser and in April we'll participate in the same Relay for Life (24 hour) walk. It's all for a very good cause, one that touches everyone.
