Ready for 1st Christmas

We gave Thomas his first "haircut" this week. It was really just a little trim around the ears. You can see in this photo how long his hair was getting around the ears, esp. his left ear, so we cleaned him up just a bit by trimming that area. I didn't think he could get any cuter, but he did.

We're enjoying sharing this holiday season with the little man. He hasn't been interested in the Christmas tree itself, but he likes to watch the twinkling lights. He seems to really like the stockings hung around the fireplace, too. This year he'll be having several Christmas celebrations with family -- what a lucky little guy!

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

Boy wants to walk and climb stairs

This evening I was "walking" with Thomas around the house (he loves to try!) when he noticed the stairs going up to the second floor. He wanted to climb them so up we went. Twice. The third time he made it about half way before he decided he had had enough. No, he's not climbing them by himself. He does the arms while I work his legs. He was having so much fun!

Satsuma Mandarin

The Satsuma mandarins are a perfect size for his little hands. He loves to suck on them and bite them. With his six teeth, he's pretty much biting everything these days. He's been drooling excessively the last three days so we think he's cutting another tooth somewhere back there. Poor kid. He just can't catch a break!

T with his pal Santa

Today I took Thomas downtown to see Santa. The popular Santa at Meier & Frank was a 45 minute wait so we went over to another not-as-popular Santa at Pioneer Place. There was no wait and the guy was really great. Thomas enjoyed sitting on his lap and talking to him. According to Santa, T asked for a Harvard education and a Maserati. I told him we could do the education, but he's on his own for the car. They were having such a good time that I asked Thomas if he'd like to hang out with Santa for a few hours while I shopped. Santa's "ho ho ho"s quickly turned to "ha ha ha"s. It was fun.
