We spent the day enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of downtown Portland. On our drive in we stopped by the old neighborhood and visited with friends we hadn't seen in awhile. The neighborhood was having their annual garage sale weekend and Shannon was so sweet to hold some of Kaitlin's clothes for me to go through first. Meredith walked away with a cute sweatshirt, half a dozen shirts and a great new pair of boots. She refers to them as her "special boots" and wore them all day long despite the really warm day and no socks! Thanks, Shannon, we love everything!

Being downtown again was fun. So many great memories. The kids enjoyed picking up new "happy shirts" as Thomas has nicknamed them (tie-dye) at the Saturday Market, walking along the waterfront and riding the light rail to Pioneer Square. Portland's a small town, but it sure was great to be there again!
