Meredith loves to hand us a book and sit on our lap to have us read to her but then she'll hop right back up and leave before we've finished reading even the second page. Her attention span when it comes to having a book read to her is extremely short. However, she'll spend great lengths of time perusing books on her own, whether its carefully turning each page slowly as she studies the illustrations or fanning the pages over and over again. We always get a kick out of just how long she can "read" a book by herself.
